Places to stay in Blenheim and surrounds
Blenheim accommodation has options to suit all sorts of travelers and budgets. We have split the Blenheim accommodation into various categories to try and help you make the choice of where to stay. We are not aligned to any accommodation and will pick up for our wine tours from any of the accommodation options below.
Blenheim is a great place to stay to explore the world famous Marlborough wine region or the stunningly beautiful Marlborough Sounds. The town is the largest in the Marlborough region with a population of over 30,000. It enjoys one of New Zealand’s sunniest climates, with hot, relatively dry summers and cool, crisp winters. Summer temperatures in the day time are usually between 25 and 30 degrees and 10 and 15 degrees at night. Therefore Marlborough is classed as a cool climate wine region.
Blenheim accommodation Bed and Breakfast
Blenheim accommodation Motels
Motels are ideal for the independent traveler. Most have a fully functional unit including cooking facilities, therefore giving the option of self catering. If self catering is not for you, Blenheim has a good variety of restaurants offer a wide variety of food from different countries.
Blenheim accommodation does not have large hotels with hundreds of rooms. The hotels in Blenheim are relatively small therefore allowing them to offer that important personal touch. If you are looking for something a little different why not stay the Hotel d'Urville. Located right in the center of Blenheim, offering a touch of history as the building used to be a bank. Chateau Marlborough, and the Quality Hotel are larger than the Hotel d'Urville and located within Blenheim. If you are looking to stay in the vineyards then Marlborough Vinters Hotel offers that experience slightly out of Blenheim.
Blenheim accommodation offers a number of backpackers within the town, as a result the choice is yours. Biddy Kate's offers a central location close to many restaurants and Clubs of Marlborough. The Grapevine is a little further out of town, about 10 minutes walking, so still great for town.
